Bad Law - NCLB and AYP built for failure

Another problem with NCLB is AYP is all or nothing. We had 1 student fail 1 portion of a test and the whole school was consider failing under AYP. This school will never pass as long as that 1 student is there. This school is rated an A by our state grading system. This school is approaching its 4 year in failing AYP no it is facing firing all its teacher over 1 student. A single student who has poor attendance yet there is no accountability on the parents part. This law is very bad.

My child has children that are reading worse than a 1st grader in 6th grade why have they been past if they can't read?
