Alex Byland
Special Educator by Day, Max's Dad by Night!
Alex Byland is an eighth year special educator, currently teaching at Guilford Elementary School in Howard County, Maryland. He is also the director of Extended School Year summer programs for students with special needs. Mr. Byland earned his Masters in Educational Leadership and Administration from Notre Dame of Maryland University. Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) granted Alex with the Educator of the Month award in September 2014. His work in proactive behavioral and leadership interventions has become integral to AACPS’s new Multicultural Strategic Initiative.
