Amy Eva
Associate Education Director, Greater Good Science Center
Amy L. Eva, PhD, is the associate education director at the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley. She writes for Greater Good Magazine, teaches at the Summer Institute for Educators, and is part of a team developing a new online resource for educators called Greater Good in Education. With over 25 years in classrooms, she is a teacher at heart.
After receiving her doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Washington, she published in the areas of teacher education, metacognition, the psychology of reading, adolescent mental health, social and emotional learning, and mindfulness-based interventions with marginalized youth. She was a teacher educator for 12 years before joining the Greater Good Science Center.
