The 10 years I have spent writing about preK-12 education have been some of the most fulfilling of my 30 years in journalism. I'm currently the writer-in-residence for Education Post, where I write about innovations and trends on a national level. Before that I covered education in Minnesota for the nonprofit news site MinnPost. My work has appeared in The Atlantic, US News & World Report, the Hechinger Report and other outlets. I also maintain a blog focused on events in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, where I live with my two sons.
