Carol Tomlinson
Professor at the University of Virginia
My first life in education was as a public school teacher for 21 years, working with high school, pre-school, and middle school students who taught me what I know about teaching. My second (and current) life in education is as a faculty member at the University of Virginia, where my students are still my teachers. I think, teach, and write about differentiated instruction, and work with teachers in the U.S. and internationally who work to create more academically responsive classrooms.
