Founder and President, On Giants' Shoulders
Chelsea Dale is the founder and president of On Giants' Shoulders, a not-for-profit organization which advocates a strategy for repetitively motivating under-performing elementary and middle school students to respect their teachers, peers, schools, and the learning process using 15-minute, once-per-week online chats with academically accomplished high school students who appreciate the value of education. Consistent weekly reinforcement and the power of peer motivation are major components.
There are no costs, fees or charges.
On Giants' Shoulders has been featured on NBC's The Today Show, WOR Radio's The John Gambling Show, presented at a TEDx and listed in the National Service Learning Clearinghouse, the National Service Learning YouthSITE (Sharing Ideas and Tools for Engagement) and TeenLife.com.
Chelsea was a clinical intern and selective mutism counselor at the Child Mind Institute in NYC, an intern at The Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research, and worked with emotionally challenged and abused children at the Henry Ittleson Center for Child Research and Day Treatment.
She is a recent graduate of Colgate University where she was president of Active Minds. and currently is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
