Emily Deak is a third grade teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) in Maryland. She has a bachelor’s in elementary education and is currently working towards a master’s in educational technology. She believes that the mental health and well-being of students should be at the forefront of our educational system, as it is essential to the overall success of the person, not just the student.
