I began my career as a public school teacher in Baltimore and New York City. Currently, I teach literature and writing at Queensborough Community College and Hunter College in New York City. I have also served formerly incarcerated youth as the Education Coordinator of NYC Justice Corps in Harlem and the South Bronx. My writing explores art, music, film, and education within the contexts of race.
