Jaren Maynard
Fourth-Grade Teacher
Jaren Maynard teaches fourth grade in Newport News, Virginia. She's also taught first grade during her six years in education. Jaren recently went back to school and graduated last year from the University of Virginia with a master's of education degree in reading, which allowed her to obtain her reading specialist endorsement. She's particularly interested in literacy topics that impact the Black community.
