Jennifer Sayre

Jennifer Sayre is the Online Teacher Leader for Hilliard City Schools in Hilliard, Ohio. Prior to that, she was an online English teacher for 10 years. Hilliard is large suburb on the west side of Columbus. The district has a long-standing and quickly growing online program with students taking courses at the middle school and high school levels. They currently offer 70+ online courses that have all been developed and delivered by in-district teachers.

Jennifer has 13+ years of classroom teaching experience and has been teaching online courses in Hilliard since 2003. She has developed/co-developed dozens of online courses for grades 7-12. She has two Master’s degrees, one in secondary education and a second one in educational leadership. She was recognized in 2016 with the Battelle for Kids Celebrate Teaching Distinguished Educator Award and the 2016 Hilliard City Schools Celebrate Excellence Award. She has also earned the Master Teacher designation in the state of Ohio. She is a Quality Matters Certified K-12 Course Reviewer and a QM Certified K-12 Facilitator. In addition to her responsibilities as an online teacher, she currently serves as a teacher-leader for 15 online teachers at the McVey Innovative Learning Center.

In addition to her role as a Teacher Leader within the Hilliard City School District, Jennifer owns a consulting firm called Sayre Online Solutions, LLC. She is dedicated to helping school systems develop, integrate, and grow successful online programs.
