Joann Nichols
Professor of Education
Dr. Joann B. Nichols has been a professor in the Education Department at Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, since 2012, and before that a kindergarten teacher in New Hampshire. She specializes in the psychology of education, early childhood science and social studies, and arts integration. Joann, sponsored by faculty awards, has studied the Reggio Emilia model of schooling in Italy. She is also accompanied daily by her children’s reading partner golden retriever, Beauty.
