John Omundsen

Director of K-12 STEM Education

I am currently in my 15th year in education. During this time, I have been a math teacher to students in grades 3 to 12, a mathematics curriculum specialist, and a math coach. Currently I am the director of K–12 STEM education for the Oasis Charter Schools in Cape Coral, Florida, where I am working to create a vertically aligned, K–12 STEM curriculum for our students. I work closely on instructional development with our teachers. I have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, a master’s degree in mathematics education, and a doctoral degree in educational leadership, all from the University of Florida.
