Kim Lepre

For 16 years I’ve taught middle school and loved every minute of it. I love the structured chaos of the middle school mind, the challenges of teaching kids at such a pivotal and awkward age, and the satisfaction of being a part of their journey toward independence. Currently, I teach English 7 at Rancho Del Rey Middle School in Chula Vista, California. One of my favorite roles is being a beginning teacher mentor, helping future educators develop solid practices and habits of mind. Whether it’s integrating educational technology, standards-based grading, or literacy, my razor-sharp focus is to help teachers find solutions to their conundrums in teaching.
