Kyoko Johns

Dr. Kyoko Johns serves as professor in the College of Education and Professional Studies at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL. She taught 11 years in elementary classrooms prior to teaching at Jax State. She currently teaches elementary mathematics methods at the credential level and other educational courses in graduate and undergraduate levels. Her areas of interest include examining students’ thinking processes when solving mathematical problems, investigating social and cultural effects on mathematics education, and exploring student identity and diversity in the classroom.
