Laura Berman

Laura Berman earned a Master of Education degree in moderate special needs from Lesley University. She is trained in Orton-Gillingham and has spent the last 10 years working with dyslexic students in different settings. Laura is currently finishing a Master of Arts degree in teaching mathematics from Mt. Holyoke College while continuing to teach as a math and literacy specialist at a small, independent school in Central Massachusetts. She was also the 2021–23 recipient of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics’ Program of Mathematics Study and Active Professionalism grant. Laura is most interested in the intersection of math and dyslexia instruction with a focus on helping dyslexic children feel empowered and successful throughout all aspects of their life.
