Dr. Lauran Kerr-Heraly serves as a professor of history, dual credit instructor, and innovation fellow at Houston Community College. She employs active learning strategies and creative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and success. As the founder and CEO of Altering Course, LLC, she helps students, families, and educators understand and address executive function issues by providing practical, collaborative strategies that enhance academic performance, social and emotional well-being, and long-term success. Lauran is the recipient of the Texas State Historical Association’s Randolph B. “Mike” Campbell Award, the HCC Faculty Teaching Excellence Award, and the NISOD Teaching Excellence Award.
