Mariana Pineda
Pedagogical Accessibility Coordinator
Mariana Pineda’s love and interest for education deepened as she pursued an undergraduate degree in rehabilitation psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. After graduation, Mariana moved back to her home country of Guatemala where she worked as a Waldorf educator. As she dove deeper into the field of education, she started questioning the role of technology in formal and informal educational settings. She wanted to understand how technology could be used efficiently, effectively, and responsibly to truly benefit and enhance learners’ experiences. This led her directly to a master’s in education innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
