Mike Deragon

Mike has been working in alternative education programs for the past 8 years as a social studies and English teacher. He is passionate about student-centered learning, project-problem based curriculum, social justice issues in education, and culturally relevant pedagogy. Mike earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from West Virginia University, and is currently beginning the dissertation phase of his EdD at Northeastern University with a research focus on culturally relevant pedagogy and teacher preparation programs.
