Dr. Monique Darrisaw-Akil is a transformational leader who believes in unlocking the genius in every child. She has served as a teacher, staff developer, principal, and assistant superintendent, and is currently superintendent of schools at the Uniondale Union Free School District. She is a national speaker, contributing author, and adjunct professor. She currently serves on the expert advisory council for the Leadership Academy, the Middle State Regional Council of College Board, and The International Ethics Advisory Board of the Woxsen University in India.
