Raquel Ríos
Learning Designer
Dr. Raquel Ríos is an educator, learning designer, and author of the books Mindful Practice for Social Justice: A Guide for Educators and Professional Learning Communities and Teacher Agency for Equity: A Framework for Conscientious Engagement. She started her career as a Spanish teacher and has worked nationally supporting teachers, coaches, and school leaders on teacher effectiveness. She has worked in Spain, Puerto Rico, and the United Arab Emirates. Currently, Raquel dedicates some of her time to the Center for Puerto Rican Studies at Hunter College in New York City as an oral historian researcher. She enjoys writing and consulting on topics related to education, culture, language, and engaged mindfulness.
