Renee Llanes

I work in educational research at Southern Methodist University. In this capacity, I work with various federal grants to provide reading interventions to underperforming students in inner city schools in Dallas. Previously, I was a classroom teacher and taught for 12 years for Richardson Independent School District, where most of my teaching involved working with Title 1 schools. In 2016, I returned to school to pursue a master’s degree in reading and writing. As an educator, my goal is to continuing learning about evidence-based practices to support students and teachers.
