Shome Dasgupta

Shome Dasgupta is a teacher and author living in Lafayette, LA. A finalist for the 2023 United Way of Acadiana Teacher Award, he teaches high school English at Ascension Episcopal School, and he has taught at various levels for twelve or so years, ranging from grade school to middle school to high school to collegiate. He is the author of the young adult novel The Seagull and the Urn (HarperCollins India), and most recently, a collection of short stories, Atchafalaya Darling (Belle Point Press).
